Joy Apparel is a beautiful concept for a t-shirt company. Their organic cotton t-shirts are made by me to we in Toronto, so they’re environmentally and socially responsible but that’s just the beginning of the beauty. The images on the t-shirts are hand sketched faces of other people who have bought Joy Apparel t-shirts.

Me to We is a Toronto based manufacturer using mostly organic cotton from Turkey, Pakistan, and India. They sell an assortment of stylish t-shirts, hoodies, polo’s, tank tops, and are starting to get into dresses, scarves, that kind of thing.
Laura Chenoweth Organic Apparel
Laura Chenoweth is a Halifax-based clothing designer using organic cotton grown in Southern India. Her clean classic designs work in the office or on a glamorous and environmentally conscious night out.
Denim3
Denim 3 uses, you guessed it, recycled denim to make classic clothing for women and men. She gets scrap pieces of denim from manufacturers in Montreal who would otherwise discard the material.
Knink Uniketik
Knink uses 99% recycled material to produce her earthy and unique pieces. She is located in a small town outside of Montreal and gets most of her second hand clothing from her local community.
Supayana
Supayana’s clothing is made mostly from recycled material, she incorporates some new material so she can have a somewhat consistent line. Her style reminds me of a fresh raspberry. She got her start selling online but now sells in a bunch of boutiques.
Preloved
Preloved is a line of recycled fashion out of Toronto. They started in 1995 and have been an industry leader ever since. Strong, classic yet daring design puts Preloved in a field of its own. I think they sum it up on their website perfectly “Preloved creates one-of-a-kind clothing from reclaimed vintage fabrics. Our passion is design and our philosophy is sustainability. “

Moly Kulte is a unique combination of art gallery and fashion boutique that spews forth into the material world on Rue Mount-Royal, the store is actually one block from my apartment. They sell a lot of thier own unique pieces as well as other local designers who are working with reycyeled material. M0ly Kulte’s clothes are hot, so if you’re one of those people who like looking hot, you should check this boutique out.

Myco Anna is one of the trailblazers in the world of ethical fashion, they’ve been around since 1995. They use 20% to 100% recycled fabric in their clothing for women.
